Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 and the designs developed in that time, including the Luminor models, were covered by the Military Secrets Act for many years and were launched on the international market only after the brand was acquired by the Richemont Group in 1997. The Panerai Luminor was first created shortly after the second world war in 1950. As technology has developed so has this sought after watch, becoming bigger and bolder than ever before. This watch also stays true to its military heritage with a robust 42mm case and sandwich dial, but ultimately, it’s the ultra-legible bold luminous markers that make it iconic.
