Submariner

Gents stainless steel Rolex Oyster Submariner. Ref. 14060. Self-winding Chronometer certified, calibre 3000 movement. Complete with original box, papers and tags, dated October 1998.

The Submariner, introduced in 1953, was the first watch with water resistance down to 100m. Designed for diving and exploring the world underwater the Submariner has undergone many advances throughout the years which has led to the watch now having capabilities of reaching a depth of 300m. Its functional and robust style quickly ensured that the Submariner became an iconic Rolex timepiece. Today all Rolex watches are chronometer certified, but back in 1998 this particular movement wasn’t, and that is why it only has 2 lines of writing above 6 o'clock. This gents’ Rolex Oyster Submariner is presented on a brushed stainless steel Oyster bracelet and is water resistant to 300m. The round, 40mm case has a screw down crown and case back; featuring a highly-legible black dial, framed by a black ceramic unidirectional bezel. The watch had a full Rolex service in February 2025.
